Attending a major education technology event for the first time can be both exciting and eye-opening! This year, Little You 3D had the opportunity to experience the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) in Orlando. Although we did not exhibit, our goal was to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere, connect with educators, and learn about the latest trends shaping the future of classrooms.

What is FETC?

FETC is one of the largest annual gatherings of educators, administrators, and edtech innovators in the United States. It offers a platform where education professionals come together to explore new tools, share ideas, and discuss how technology can support teaching and learning. The conference features keynote speeches, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and an extensive exhibit hall showcasing the latest products and services.

For Little You 3D, attending FETC was a chance to listen directly to educators’ needs and challenges, understand emerging trends, and build relationships with like-minded ventures focused on education technology. The event attracts a diverse crowd, including K–12 teachers, district leaders, and technology coordinators, all seeking solutions that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Our Experience at FETC 2026

Walking through the conference halls, we immediately noticed the buzz around AI, 3D printing and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education! We attended several panel discussions where experts explored the role of emerging technologies in education, the benefits of integrating AI into the classroom, the importance of engaging learning tools, and the future of learning. Hearing these insights reinforced our belief that Little You 3D’s approach aligns closely with what educators are seeking. One highlight was the opportunity to speak directly with teachers and administrators. Their feedback was invaluable. Many expressed excitement about using 3D printing to personalize learning and make lessons more interactive. They also shared concerns about cost, training, and curriculum integration, areas where Little You 3D aims to provide support.

What Little You 3D Does and How It Supports Educators

Little You 3D specializes in creating personalized 3D printed figurines that bring students’ creativity and identity into the classroom. Our products serve as a bridge between technology and personal expression, helping educators engage students in STEAM subjects through a tangible, hands-on experience.

We provide educators with easy-to-use tools and lesson plans that integrate 3D printing into their curriculum. This support helps teachers overcome common barriers such as lack of experience with 3D technology or limited classroom time. By making 3D printing accessible and relevant, Little You 3D encourages students to explore design, engineering, and storytelling in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Our approach also promotes inclusivity by allowing every student to create a unique representation of themselves or their ideas. This personal connection boosts motivation and helps build a positive classroom environment.

Connecting with Like-Minded EdTech Ventures

FETC was not only about meeting educators but also about networking with other edtech companies. We met several startups and established ventures focused on STEAM education and 3D printing solutions. These conversations opened doors for potential collaborations and partnerships that could expand the impact of our work. Sharing experiences with peers who face similar challenges and opportunities was encouraging. It also gave us a clearer picture of the competitive landscape and how Little You 3D can differentiate itself by focusing on personalization and educator support.

Looking Ahead: Considering Exhibition Next Year

Since this was our first year attending FETC, we chose to observe rather than exhibit. This decision allowed us to absorb the event’s energy and gather insights without the pressure of managing a booth. After seeing the enthusiasm for 3D printing and STEAM education, we are seriously considering exhibiting at next year’s conference!

Why 3D Printing and STEAM Education Matter Now

The interest in 3D printing and STEAM education at FETC reflects a broader shift in education toward hands-on, experiential learning. These approaches help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills that are essential for the future workforce.

3D printing, in particular, offers a unique way to bring abstract concepts into the physical world. Students can design and create objects that represent their ideas, making learning more concrete and memorable. This technology also encourages trial and error, resilience, and innovation.

Little You 3D fits into this landscape by providing tools that are easy to use and focused on personalization. Our products help educators introduce 3D printing without overwhelming technical complexity, making it accessible for classrooms with varying levels of resources and expertise.

Final Thoughts

Attending FETC 2026 was an exciting milestone for Little You 3D. We gained firsthand insight into educators’ needs and challenges, connected with inspiring peers across the edtech community, and validated that our mission is strongly aligned with where education technology is headed. Stay tuned, exciting things are happening next at Little You 3D!
